Our standard
Zavia publishes people-first content: original, useful, and honest. Every article should pass a simple test before publication — is it accurate, is it genuinely helpful, and would we be comfortable defending every claim in it?
Accuracy and sourcing
- Facts are checked before publication; time-sensitive topics carry visible publication and update dates.
- We do not fabricate statistics, studies, quotes, or personal experiences.
- When AI assists drafting or research, a human reviews, fact-checks, and improves the result before anything is published.
Originality
- We do not copy or closely paraphrase other publications. Inspiration is credited with a link.
- Sample or placeholder content is always labeled as such — never presented as real data.
Corrections
- Readers can report errors via the contact page (topic: Editorial / correction).
- Verified factual errors are corrected promptly. Significant corrections are noted on the article with the date.
Independence
- Editorial content is never sold. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled as sponsored.
- Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend; see the affiliate disclosure.
- Advertisers do not review or approve editorial content.
Comments
Comments are moderated before publication to prevent spam and abuse. We approve genuine discussion, including disagreement, and remove spam, hate speech, and misinformation.
A small, honest newsroom
Zavia is an independent publication founded by a student — not a large editorial team — and we say so openly on our About page. We would rather be small and trustworthy than big and sloppy.
